Why WordPress is easy to use from a beginner’s perspective

Never worked on WordPress? Not sure what WordPress is? This article gives you a bit of insight on why WordPress is easy to use. It’s written from my perspective – a beginner who has only just started learning about it.

Why WordPress is easy to use

Starting out using WordPress might have you feeling overwhelmed by all the functions available on the interface. Having said that, the dashboard has a simple look to it and is designed in a way to help you navigate to different sections of the task you’re working on (e.g. blog, website etc.). This makes it a pleasure to work with.

Once you play around in WordPress you realise that it’s quite intuitive, and it’s easy to adapt to its functionality. The best part about using WordPress is that it’s flexible enough for just about anything. With WordPress, you’re able to create and edit fully-functional websites.

Using WordPress also takes away the basic obstacles in your path. You do not have to start from scratch as they have templates. The amount of templates available is impressive. There are thousands of different themed templates, which allows you to create a website with any kind of look you want. The templates on WordPress adhere to web standards, so you don’t have to be a coding genius to understand what’s going on under the hood.

You can take full advantage of WordPress’s flexibility by making use of plugins. Plugins can extend functionality or add new features to your website, blog, etc.

Overall WordPress is a great platform to start out in if you’re fairly new to the web design, development or publishing department. It’s constantly evolving and becoming a better system. It’s one of, if not the, most powerful blogging and website content management systems in existence today.
